becomes effective September 26, 2011 and applies to MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, MD-87 and MD-88 series airplanes This AD requires repetitive inspections of the left and right wing rear spar caps at Sta Xrs = 164.000 before the accumulation of 30,000 total flight cycles or within 3,360 flight cycles after September 26, 2011, whichever occurs later.

This AD requires repetitive inspections of the left and right upper center skin panels of the Horizontal Stabilizer before the accumulation of 20,000 total flight cycles or within 4,379 flight cycles after August 10, 2011, whichever occurs later.

becomes effective August 19, 2011 and applies to MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, MD-87 and MD-88 series airplanes This AD requires a one-time inspection of the leading edge structure of the Vertical Stabilizer at the splice at Station Zfs=52.267 along with repetitive inspections of the left and right Vertical Stabilizer front spar cap and repetitive inspections for indications of loose and missing fasteners. The initial inspection is due within 4,500 flight cycles after August 19, 2011.
